Volunteers In Parks
The Warren County Volunteers in Parks (VIP) Program was created to afford citizens the unique opportunity to participate in the stewardship of the County’s natural and historic resources. Individual volunteers and volunteer organizations are invited to join the VIP program and applications can be downloaded by clicking on the links below. VIPs help enhance visitors experiences in the areas of education, interpretation, preservation, maintenance and outdoor recreation.
The Warren County VIP Program is a great way to learn more about nature and local history, spend time with family and friends, provide a community service, meet new people, and have fun in the county’s parks. We are always looking for volunteers who enjoy:
- working outdoors,
- clearing trails,
- planting trees and shrubs,
- talking to visitors, and
- helping with nature walks, educational programs and events
Adopt A Trail
The Warren County Parks Adopt-A-Trail program is a great way for individuals and groups who are interested in maintaining and repairing trails throughout the parks system. Maintaining and repairing these trails can be difficult, but with help from trail users this job can be made easier. Hikers, bikers, equestrians, nature lovers and other trail users are invited to volunteer, with most making a two-year commitment to adopt a trail or a section of a trail.
