Second Saturday monthly volunteer work day - specific project to be announced, but can include trail blazing, clearing, and maintenance, park clean-up, building stairs or bridges for trails, fence painting, etc. Call the Department of Land Preservation at (908) 435-2650 x2 for more details. New volunteers - A volunteer application and waiver must be completed and returned to The Department of Land Preservation prior to your first volunteer activity.

The Jim and Mary Lee Museum, located in Port Warren Park, 477 County Route 519, Stewartsville, is housed in a former Morris Canal plane tender’s house that also was the long-time home of noted Morris Canal historian Jim Lee and his wife, Mary. Visitors can walk the inclined plane, have a guided tour of the remains of the powerhouse, turbine chamber and tailrace, and see canal artifacts on display in the museum and on the grounds. Join us for a moonlight paddle under the Hunter Moon on the placid waters of White Lake. The park will remain open during these hours for other park activities. This is a FREE event.
